Emo Fashion

Emo Fashion: Clothing and Hair
Emo clothing can never be complete without hoodies. Hooded tops are a characteristic feature of Emo clothing. These often come with printed designs or loud graphics. Tight jeans are also a part of Emo clothing. Girls as well guys also sport these with short sleeved tight T-shirts. The layered look is also a part of Emo clothing. Short sleeved colorful tees can be worn over long sleeved Tees. These Tees are either in solid colors or zany prints. Girls also wear scarves with their outfits. For Emo clothing, scarves are used to create a fashionable statement and these are often in knits in solid colors or stripes.

Girls also wear heavy slacks. Gas station jackets are often thrown over colorful tees. Many girls who wish to follow Emo fashion also prefer baggy pants and short tees worn with hemp jewelry. Studded belts are often worn with jeans and these belts come with large buckles. Footwear includes canvas sneakers or shoes in black. Skate shoes are also a part of Emo fashion.

V-neck sweaters are also a part of Emo clothing. These are worn short so that the shirt worn underneath peeps out from below. Emo girls and boys also wear characteristic horn-rimmed glasses. Often, such young girls and boys carry backpacks that are slung across their shoulder. This is also like a trademark of Emo fashion.

Emo Fashion

Emo Fashion
The term Emo has had a range of different meanings till date. There are many interpretations of the same though Emo is basically a style of music. Emo is defined to be a kind of rock music, which also saw variations along the way. The term Emo has always been under debate and has raised many questions till date. Emo fashion and the Emo music scene has always been a culture in itself. There can be no particular definition for the term Emo and this can be safely called a kind of emotional rock music scene or a kind of fashion scenario that has evolved with the time. Therefore, Emo is also a culture in itself. Emo is short for the word emotional and represents a kind of strong feelings or emotions. Although there are many arguments about the same, Emo is also a way to find an outlet for all the emotions. This could be either through music, fashion or one could even do up their hairstyles in a particular manner to represent the Emo culture.

Emo Fashion and Hairstyles:
Emo fashion has also evolved with time. There can no particular definition of this as well, but there are certain characteristics that can define Emo fashion. What has been this fascination for Emo fashion? Is it the wackiness or the weird outlook that is found very appealing to many? Of course, this is also a matter of personal opinion. Emo boys and gals have always tried to be unique in their own special way. There are no special rules as far as Emo fashion goes. The ‘dress code’ of being Emo is all about being comfortable in what you are wearing. So, how would one distinguish a true Emo guy or gal?

Though most people would scoff at the Emo look, I personally do like the cheesy and don’t-care-attitude of this ‘culture’! Skinny jeans with hoodies look fab as a representation of the Emo group. Jeans must be tight to show that you are truly Emo but make sure you can carry it off as well. The typical emotional punk movement may not really be considered fashionable by many but then the term fashion means differently to different people. Emo girls have dyed hair with asymmetrical lines and sometimes one can find nerdy glasses perched on their nose as well. A black t-shirt worn with a hooded jacket also works well. Though jackets are not completely Emo, you can go in for a lightweight kind. Loads of layering for Emo guys and girls is also important. Guys can go in for zany T-shirts worn with studded belts and fingerless gloves. Accessories in Emo fashion are aplenty ranging from hemp necklaces or tote bags. Body piercing is also considered to be very Emo! A little strange to some, but patterned knee high socks are also part of this category. Fishnet stockings worn with short skirts can work well for girls. To sport some Emo style makeup, get yourself thick pencil eyeliner and draw a thick line in one swipe. Girls need to use some clear lip gloss on their lips to complete the look. Black is the color for the nails as well, and boys, this also includes you. I am sure by now you would be thinking the Emo look is definitely taking a bizarre turn. Boys can also go in for messenger style bags to go with their skinny leg jeans. Slogans on Tees are quite common in Emo fashion. Canvas shoes and old weather beaten shoes complete the Emo look!
